Two years later, the World Trade Centers Association ( was founded; an international structure with the aim of promoting the development and business and/or commercial relationships of its members.

Today, it encompasses 321 WTC business centers, spread across various continents (89 countries). 

The World Trade Center Lugano is the Ticino branch of this exclusive global network, which it joined in 1990, establishing an associative branch to encourage networking and promotion of its supporters at the same time.

The Board of Directors of the Association of the same includes leading figures of the local economic landscape, representatives of major institutional public bodies, such as the Chamber of Commerce of the Canton of Ticino (Cc-Ti), the Association of industries active in the Canton of Ticino (AITI), and the Department of Economy of the Canton of Ticino, as well as numerous bank institutions.
